Comparing Basic Details

As historians, we always start by asking ourselves, do the documents we are examining agree? 

If they agree, then where do the documents agree with each other? If they do not agree, then where do the documents disagree?

One of the ways we find this out is by comparing the information provided by the two accounts. We will start our investigation by comparing some basic details.
