Voices of Sackville allows you to hear and learn about diverse perspectives on the 1779 capture of Fort Sackville.
Six main components make up the site:
- Voices: Hear the voices of individual historical figures and let them speak for themselves through the site’s extensive use of primary sources. By clicking on individuals’ names, you can learn about the role they played and their perspective on the events that transpired.
- Legacy: Explore how some of these individuals have been remembered in history and culture.
- View Collections Items: Browse documents, paintings, drawings, artifacts, gravestones, and statues that are related to Fort Sackville.
- Games: Test your knowledge about Fort Sackville and the individuals mentioned in the site by participating in a variety of games.
- Education: Learn important historical thinking skills through online lessons which utilize primary sources relating to George Rogers Clark and Fort Sackville.
